These terms cover the use of this website and requests sent through it for private lessons, seminars and workshops with JP Tran. JP’s team manages bookings on his behalf (“we”, “us”).
1. Requests are not bookings
Sending a request does not reserve a date. A session or event is confirmed only when we confirm it with you in writing, by email or message.
2. Private lessons at Art of Jiu Jitsu
Private lessons in Orange County take place at Art of Jiu Jitsu in Costa Mesa and are booked through AOJ. AOJ’s own policies apply to those sessions, including its waiver, payment and cancellation rules.
3. Seminars and sessions outside Orange County
Seminars, and privates outside Orange County or California, are planned case by case. The date, fee, travel, schedule and cancellation terms for each one are agreed in writing before it is confirmed.
4. Minors
Anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian to make the request, and the parent or guardian is responsible for the booking.
5. Health and safety
Jiu-jitsu is a contact sport and carries a risk of injury. Participants train within their own abilities, tell the coach about any injury or condition that could affect training, and sign any waiver the academy or event host requires.
6. Events
Event dates and places on this site can change. Check with the event host for final details.
7. Website content
Photos, videos and text on this site belong to JP Tran or are used with permission, and may not be copied without permission. Titles and results listed are from official competition results.
8. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses caused by using this website or by changes to event information. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under California law.
9. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms. The version on this page applies from the date shown at the top. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
